What is an h-index? How do I find out mine?
Answer
An h-index is a measure of an author’s publication impact. If an author has an h-index of 6, for example, it means that 6 of their publications have been cited at least 6 times.
Author profiles in the databases Scopus and Web of Science include an h-index, as do author-created profiles in Google Scholar. Learn more on our blog or sign up for our Measuring Research Impact class.
