How do I access Library resources remotely?
Answer
You can access Library resources remotely (from home or offsite) by using any of the following options:
- Virtual desktop (VCD or VND)
- The Library’s Remote Access Portal
- This will take you to MSK's Secure Login where you can authenticate by entering your MSK network username and password and confirming PingID (not always required). Your authentication should last 8 hours in the browser, enabling you to access MSK Library's subscription content.
- Note that if you have already authenticated, you will be redirected back to the Library homepage when you click on the Remote Access link. If you would like to bookmark this link for convenience, the URL is: https://library.mskcc.org/remote-access
- For other links, you may be prompted to log in via your institution, which will generate a Single Sign-On (SSO) with OpenAthens to show you're coming from the MSK Library and are affiliated with MSK. Authenticating with SSO will give you institutional access.
We recommend you download the LibKey Nomad browser plugin and connect it to MSK's holdings to give you easier access to our subscriptions while using databases and websites.
